Open Reality Group Gains ISO/IEC 27001 Certification

Information is a valuable asset that can make or break your business and when properly managed it allows you to operate with confidence. We are proud to announce that in November 2015 the Open Reality Group achieved ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management certification after a successful audit from BSI.
An organisation can scope ISO/IEC 27001 to cover any set of processes, business areas or systems they wish. Some companies have a very narrow scope, so not all their services may even by covered by the scope of their certification. Our scope is wide and covers the provision of consultancy, managed services, hosted IT services using 3rd party data centres and resale of hardware and software for customers own use.

A word of warning
Our certificate was issued by BSI, a certification body accredited by the national accreditation authority, UKAS. If the body that awarded the certification wasn’t accredited by a recognised international accreditation authority it would lack credibility, because it’s impossible to tell if the audit was performed to valid standards. Therefore when choosing a supplier you should always check the awarding body as well as the accreditation itself to ensure they come from a UKAS accredited certification body.
